"Not worth Bang for Buck"

Overall the car is a very good car. i will not take anything away from it. But from a cost point the extras you get for the price tag is not worth it . Your better off going wit the EX model and saving a good amount of money.... You wont be missing out on anything that would go unnoticed

Honda Civic seats are causing me severe back pain

I hate this car now I fell in love with it due to the color in the style of the body on the outside of the inside of sheep we made the seats are very low, where the hip lower than the knee is causing a lot of pressure pressure on my lumbar spine and caused me horrible back pain every time I get in the car it makes my back hurt even more. I think that comfort is the number one thing that everyone should look for in a car and being 22 at the time of buying a car I wasn’t thinking about this and there’s no adjusters on the seat that are electronic. You cannot position the seat to where the hips are higher than knees or at least neutral position so now my back hurts every single time causing trigger points and pain throughout the entire back. I feel like a 83-year-old from this car. I wish I never bought it. I’m trying to sell it now and I’m thinking of just taking any amount for it and I think that everyone should put a lawsuit out on Honda or get some type of compensation because I’ve had to pay for chiropractors and Medical Due to this car. I’m actually on the way to an appointment that’s two hours away and the minute I got it and it already started hurting and I have to take pain medication just because of the car cost me pain. I cannot wait to get rid of this thing and I hope that I’m able to get some type of compensation. Do not buy this car even had to buy a C cushion to elevate myself, but I’m still seated super low because of the way that design is so the passengers that come in my car, complaining about that pain due to the seats being so low and angled

Almost perfect...with a few exceptions
Pros

Power, fuel economy, design, handling

Cons

Seat comfort (lumbar), lack of some upscale features

I've had my '25 Civic for almost six months and 10k miles. Based on my research and test drives, I still feel it is the best car in the segment. The power and fuel economy are amazing, it looks great inside and out and handles nicely. The interior space (and trunk) are huge (I can fit 14 cases of water in the trunk)! The only real complaint I have is seat comfort. It is ridiculous that a $34k Honda doesn't have adjustable lumbar support! My '06 Mazda3 had much better seats. Thankfully, I found a way to add an inflatable lumbar pillow inside the seat back (took about 45 minutes). Thanks to folks on the Civic subreddits. I have a few more minor/petty complaints. The lack of rear A/C vents and USB ports is annoying. The windshield washers are a joke. For the highest priced car in the segment, ventilated front seats and heated steering wheel would be nice. It also gets a little noisy on the highway at 70+ mph. Some extra sound insulation would do wonders. Outside of North America, the Civic has all of these features standard or available (except the ventilated seats). I still love it and highly recommend it to anyone. It's a blast to drive and, as long as it delivers traditional Honda reliability, I'll probably keep it for 7-10 years.

Nice to look at a pain to own.
Pros

Smooth shifting, great looking car, and I really enjoyed the drivers assists considering the price of the car.

Cons

Slow, and I’ve had a bunch of problems. Such a disappointment for your first new car.

I had problems with this car five thousand miles in. They couldn’t figure out the problem (a wiring harness issue) for 7 or 8 months. My car would throw 3 or four specific codes that were ALL caused because of the wiring harness. Now my vehicle has had a motor issue, and Honda plucked one code out of the middle of the previously covered warranty work and are calling it abuse though no one can tell me how I supposedly abused my car. I can’t recommend Honda again, my little si looks so cool but it’s a piece of garbage

Driver's Seat
Pros

45 mpg, fast and smooth acceleration

Cons

Driver's seat is terrible, caused back pain

I recently bought a 2025 Hybrid Sport Civic, based on good reviews and a good first impression. I really wanted to love this car, but in a short amount of time, it was causing serious back pain from the driver seat. I tried every imaginable position, and seat pads to help ease the pain, but no luck. After almost 2 months of pain, I traded it in with less than 2000 miles. Maybe for younger folks, or other situations, this may be a great car, but it did not work out for me. I loved the gas mileage (avg 45mpg), and the smoothness, acceleration, and pretty much everything about the car..... EXCEPT the driver seat. Upon further research, I'm apparently not the first one that had this issue

Great Car!

I bought this car about 2 weeks ago and am very satisfied with the value and cost. It has so many safety features like adaptive cruise control, lane assist, blind spot monitoring, and more. It even reads the speed limits on the road and displays them on the dash. Adjusts the brights in the dark automatically and turns off when it sees a car coming . I’m averaging 35-38 mpg depending how much city I drive in. Only take $25 to fill up. I love this car!

Uncomfortable

Good gas mileage but was over priced for what it was. Very cheap good entry level car. Would beep annoyingly when locking the doors from the handle.

Great Hatchback!
Pros

Great mpgs, stylish, reliable, roomy

Cons

Some engine noise, no lumbar support, no vents or usb in rear

I bought the 2022 Honda Civic EX-L Hatchback new in fall of 2022 and have loved it. It is a great daily commuter, great gas mileage (40 mpg combined!) no engine or mechanical problems except one recall, nice interior comfort, useful features (safety suite, roominess, good ride quality, Apple Carplay), stylish for an economy car, relatively reasonably priced.
