Positive Review
My husband and I just bought this car 1 month ago and in about a week & a half we started getting alerts about the EPB. We thought we had accidently bumped something so we ignored it for a few days. Then it started to alert us ALL THE TIME. So we took it back to the dealership to see what was wrong. Turns out, they have to replace that part entirely. And of course, it is out of stock and they dont know when they will get it in. So... new car and cant even drive it! Luckily still under warranty. On the upside, the car is easy to handle (almost like a sports car) and is surprisingly spacious. I do wish it had a cd player instead of having to use Bluetooth or such to listen to my songs. Im a 90s woman and like to have that hard cd in my hand. Hate downloading. Like the expert review said, the engine is loud especially when youre getting up to speed. Makes me feel as though Im trying to kill it. Anyways...other than the cons, I do like it. Just want to be able to drive it! lol
Critical Review
It took me about a month to regret this purchase, here's why: 1) The middle console is all wasted space due to the curvature and delicate material choice which is already scratched to heck and I'm very gentle on my cars. 2) No place to put sunglasses. This might seem naggy, but wth? 3) No automatic trunk, we're in 2020 and I bought the Limited, top of the line version. It is also unreliable as to if it will open. This also means no trunk button in the car or on the remote. ONLY located at trunk. 4) Cab screen forgets my contacts every couple days, super annoying. 5) Remote has terrible distance capability. I have to literally be within 15 feet of the vehicle to lock or unlock. I've never had a car I couldn't lock from my bedroom to the curb, super annoying. It looks SOO cool, but Toyota dropped the ball on this one.

Great fuel efficiency, excellent safety features, great infotainment, reliable.
None.
I bought one of these for my son when he got his drivers license because I love all of the safety features, yet it still looks very sporty. I was rear-ended in my Mercedes in a major accident, and I love my son‘s car so much that I bought myself one as a replacement for the Mercedes. I am very happy with it, it is a smooth ride, sporty, looking, and great on gas!
Reliability, comfort, great gas mileage for sizee
Slow start but with cvt Trans you can give it a bit more zip
I love this car. It's comfortable to ride long distances. Great leg room. Great gas mileage. The cvt transmission is a plus. Reliable all around car. The only con us it is slow on the take off. But have only owned muscle cars. This is my big girl car and I love it. It's a keeper.
It's a Toyota, zero issues, runs smooth.
A bit slow off the line, not a lot of space for cargo.
Yeah, so it doesn't have a lot of go of of the line, and the backseat is a bit tight if you have five people in the car. The space for cargo is a bit small... but it is still a Toyota. I bought mine brand new in 2021, and have never had an issue with it at any time. The ride is smooth, and gas mileage is acceptable. Exactly what I expect from my Toyotas, and I have had many. Very happy I purchased this vehicle.
Hi readers, I can’t believe how Toyota change their quality toward unreliable cars in the market. I bought a CHR it got transmission noise in 40.000 miles ridiculous. There used transmission from wrecked cars but not reliable new ones are 6 thousand dollar and as I searched most CHR and Highlighlander Corolla Camry has same issues so in short be careful don’t go for the name of Toyota. It’s worst than any other car manufacturer in the Market .
Great sporty vehicle, no mechanical issues
None
Car looks great. Handles well. With the small engine, not much get up and go but enough to pass when needed. Have had 0 problems with anything.
Nice Look (very eye appealing) Drives smooth.
Transmission failure early on.
My 2018 Toyota c-hr, I bought this car about two years ago around February. I've done everything right normal oil changes and what not, But now at 77,000 miles the transmission already needs to be replaced. Unfortunately I'm not the only one to experience this issue, Many others have at even lower miles then myself. they need to do a recall or something. Fortunately mine is still covered under warranty. But if it was not id be In forever dept. The humming sound was noticed in the transmission shorty after buying it and every shop I took it to said it was nothing Until said noise got louder about 2 weeks ago. I replaced the wheel bearings on it, Hoping that was it. Nope then I finally caved and took it in to the dealership because it was keeping me up at night. I new what they were going to say as I waited patiently in their waiting room. Low and behold "Ms. Perk" the nice gentleman said, "I'm sorry but we have to replace your transmission where did you say your warranty paper work was?"(My heart sunk in my chest) And on top of that the Warranty company is giving the dealership a hard time. This is all just very stressful, I've only owed this car for two years! Guys I know this car looks nice and might drive nice, it was extremely tempting to me as well but please for the sake of your future self's sanity do not buy this car! Just get the Rav4 instead. You know you want that as well! I keep telling myself I should have just got the rav4 :/
Cute sporty awesome car great gas mileage comfortable to drive get lots of compliments on my car would definitely buy again love this car
Great condition. Fun to drive. I feel very safe with my grand kids in the car with me while I’m taking them to school. I get lots of compliments.
